A FRESH CREATIVE APPROACH
Part of the "New VH1" has consisted of rethinking the shows and creating a fresh and new approach. "We needed a team that could deliver something modern and that could understand our branding specifications and translate those into the theme music" says VH1 executive producer Greg Bebiuk. Composer Louis Lino and Axel Ericson came up with a very abstract and futuristic collage of beats and textures in the spirit of the direction defined by the VH1 graphics department.
The sound of the show stands out from the actual music being programmed during the countdown, in order to give the show its sonic identity.
The Digital Arts team has composed theme music and promos for many networks and cable TV shows ("Politically Incorrect"), as well as commercials over the years. In addition, Digital Arts has mixed numerous shows for VH1 such as "Driven", "100 Greatest", Rockstory", "Breakthrough".
